Don’t accept that insult!
Show her how angry you feel!
JESUS
If you retaliate, her wounds
will take a lifetime to heal.

Part 2
DEVIL
You’re the only one here who is sober,
so you can’t be having much fun.
JESUS
If you get drunk, he will haunt you
with the shameful things you’ve done.
Too much wine, makes you talk rubbish,
too much beer, makes you fight,
too much of him saying, “Have another.”
will have you choking on vomit tonight.
It was me who created grapes.
I put the clusters on the vine.
He tells you I’m a spoil-sport –
who turned water into wine?
Part 3
DEVIL
To cure your loneliness,
sleeping around is best.
Don’t worry about commitment,
just get yourselves undressed.
JESUS
It’s me who created sex,
so I know what’s best for you.
I have made wise guidelines
for everything you do.
These guidelines are to protect
your spirit body and mind.
Do not deviate from
the way you were designed.
Intimate moments are for marriage
because I made it that way,
so if you go against my purpose,
your spirit will decay.
Giving your body away
is spiritual disruption.
It won’t bring lasting happiness –
just desire for more corruption.
He’ll whisper to you, lies.
He’ll pervert and confuse.
He’ll tell you, “It’s your body,
so you have the right to choose.”
Shouldn’t the potter know
what is best for the clay?
Pleasure is short-lived
when you choose to go his way.
Part 4
JESUS

DEVIL

JESUS

if you’ve nothing good to say.
Don’t ruin a reputation,
don’t stir up my wrath.
Don’t put a stumbling block
in the way of someone’s path.
DEVIL
Keep on doing what I tell you,
keep falling into temptation.
If people are easily deceived,
then I can destroy a nation.
JESUS
The only power that he has,
is what you allow him to use.
So, how can you know his voice?
Let me give you some clues:
If he makes me look deaf,
uncaring or a liar,
you’re stood very close
to an open fire.
If it contradicts my standards,
or says my way’s absurd,
if it demands the opposite
of what’s instructed in my Word…
…if it makes your needs
the most important thing,
open up your ears
to hear alarm bells ring.
